That is a sad quote, Keith.
I like Wim, his films and his photography. He has been making imagery for a long time. His quote resonates with me very much. All we can do is to keep doing what we do. I find hope in that.
Me too. I agree with Wim’s quote. The way I understood it was that with the advance of technology and the ability to share photos we have reached a glut, a surfeit that boggles the mind and senses so much so that photos don’t have the same meaning as they did prior to the digital age. Now I could be wrong in my assessment but that is what I took from the quote.
I still have my late Dad’s Kodachrome slides from the early 1950s until the late 1980s and my Dad’s quality of work and execution is one that I aspire to every day. Kinda wish I still had the slide carousel to display his slides but that disappeared after his death.
