It was the flag that caught my eye in this image. That symbolizes a sense of gratitude even in homelessness. A gratitude in living here in this country despite this man’s poverty.
Still, the photo makes me incredibly sad and I wonder why such disparity in this country?
Disparity such as this should not exist. Unfortunately, this seems to be the direction this country keeps moving towards more and more. I think back over the recent anniversary of RFK’s assassination and wonder why all the great men who are for equality always have to die such violent deaths before the reality of their dreams can exist? No man is better than another. Opportunity, equality should be available to all.
