    1. It saddens me to no end Audrey. Scenes like this never go away. I do what I can. During Reagan’s years, the 1980s, the amount of homelessness in NYC was the highest I can remember during my lifetime. It seems to be approaching that time now. People need help.

      1. Here in NYC, it comes down to economics mostly. Gentrification is everywhere, but does not take into consideration the generations of families that have lived in these neighborhoods for decades. Sure, things change. Basics keep going up – food, transportation, etc.. Wages are stagnant.
