Due to the continuing shameful, despicable acts of the current administration of the United States, I cannot remain silent any longer. If you voted or support the current administration, I ask you to unfollow this blog. I am tired of the hate disguising itself as truth, as law. Where law shall tread upon decency and the humanity of others, I will RESIST.
Please, do not deflect. This is not about Obama or Hillary. They are no longer in office. Enough time has passed to put blame and shame where it rightly belongs. It is the downward path that this current administration is on.
I will stand up to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. America is a nation of immigrants. I live where I do because of diversity. I raise my son here to experience first hand that we are all part of humanity, no matter the color of our skin or how or if we practice a religion. America’s strength lives in this diversity.
I am a proud second generation American. My family came here to escape persecution. My father is a WWll veteran and fought facism. My own patriotism is sound and firm. I believe in and adhere to the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights.
I believe in freedom.
Amen brother.
Thanks Richard.
I served in Vietnam and stood in the protests of 60’s. I’m waiting for the next generations to put down their Game Boys. It’s their turn now.
So true Ted. It’s iPads now. Thank you for your service.
Amen, Keith. Say it loud; say it strong.
Thanks Lois!
thank you for these strong words and equally powerful images. the statue of liberty pic is particularly fitting with the cloud and fog. i proudly follow your blog.
Thank you so much Audrey!
I’m staying and agree with you.
Thanks Tim!
Thanks Tim!!
Keith, you’re welcome.
Thanks. I greatly resent being put int he position of the complicit Germans who “went along” with Nazism but that’s the position I find myself in now. These things are done in my name and I don’t know how to stop them. It is infuriating that these despicable acts of human rights abuse should be done in our name.
I know Adam. I think people’s voices will grow louder over time. More protests will follow. The concern I have is that the “Right” is well armed. Uneducated and armed. A dangerous scenario.
Well said, Keith, and said for our children and grandchildren above all. Thank you.
Thank you Cara!
