I don’t have concerns photographing the homeless. I see injustices and disparity everyday. I gravitated towards this subject lately due to my feelings about the current political times in which we are experiencing. I don’t see this as taking advantage, or as some have commented privately, “Your subject is too easy.”. I don’t see it as such. It is not “easy” to look upon another’s plight as advantageous. I am calling out to the disparity that grows wider everyday. I am not going to pontificate or launch into sermon. Republicans, Democrats, black, white, Asian, Christian, Muslim, agnostic, etc.. Separate we are. Strip it all away, we are naked. We are all part of humanity.
Keep doing the great photography you do of documenting street life. You are opening my eyes to another world so different from rural Minnesota.
There are times I could really appreciate a place like rural Minnesota!
