Thanks for the flashback. Ding McNulty had me watch this a few times with him.
He asked me how I felt about the work and I tried to have an educated answer. Unfortunately. I could not give that kind of answer. But I did answer the only way I could. Months later we watched it again and I was feeling lost in the world with my camera at hand. Then Ding asked me how I felt about the parts with life on the streets, the people, cars etc moving as if thru the arteries of the city.
I said I loved that part best. Ding looked at me and told me, “That’s your work, go live it”.

Very true Don. The thing that makes the work important is to move history along. Take it, eat it, digest it, and make your own.
