Where the hell is that? The moveable stairs at Hogwarts?
On the west side. Hudson Yards. Near Jacob Javitts Center, W.34th Street.
Hetherwick took the concept of the Indian step well and made it real for the 21stC. Indian step wells are mind-bending in their complexity and awe-inspiring in their construction – given many are hundreds of years old.
Hetherwick has bought this sense of wonderment to life in 21stC NewYork.

This is such a visually intriguing place, well documented in your image. I, however, given my history with steps. would stay far far away.
