      1. Chances are, the guys in the pickup were just wondering why a stranger was taking a picture of their favorite hangout. They may feel sort of proprietary about it. If they didn’t do anything threatening, per se, I think you should go in and have that beer!

    1. Nicole won’t go there. The place is in an alley off main street in her hometown. A real
“towny” bar. I was being staked out by two men in a pickup as I was taking photographs. Nicole and Ethan were down the street. The men drove by slowly, stopped, looked at me, but then drove off. I was expecting a confrontation.

      1. Sometimes the places that looks like dives have the best food….but this one, in an alley, plus the stake-out guys….I’d probably avoid it, too. This is kind of ironic, Keith. Of all the photos you take of people, the photo you take with NO people turns out to be almost confrontational. Be careful out there!

      2. I love Nicole’s hometown. It’s changing, but down some the side streets, seems that people are waiting for the chance to vent whatever anger they have the chance. Lately, people have been venting their disapproval, somewhat angrily, on Manhatta. They don’t approve of the “technique”, the graininess of some of the images, or telling me they could do better with a cell phone. Maybe I’m onto something if I elicit such a reaction!

      3. Disapproval of Manhatta….not even gonna begin to comment on that. That is one of my all-time favorite series. Carry on, Keith!
