Waxing and Waning

Today is my birthday. I look at life differently each year. I learn that there are things that you cannot control. There are things I cannot do as smoothly as I could when I was younger. You adapt. Many friends have passed way too soon. Way before their time. I think of them all. A lot. I’m glad I’m here to be on life’s journey. Glad that they were there for part of it. I’m glad I am still creative and am sharing this journey with my family and friends. I’m glad watching my son grow, developing his own interests and personality. I’m glad to have my wife riding shotgun and taking the wheel when it matters.

I’m glad you’re here reading this.
