For many years I used a a couple of different vintage panoramic cameras. This particular image was made using an 1898 Kodak Panoram modified to accept 120 film and spools. Images from this camera were contact printed on printing-out-paper from a paper manufacturer in France. Apparently the paper was same that Eugene Atget used. The images were actual size of the negative and quite small, 2 1/4″ x 7″. The lens was not very sharp and the images did not lend themselves for enlargement.
Impressive image. I’ve always had a fascination with the Gargoyles around the city buildings. I love this image.
Thanks Ted!
