A bird???Yes. Quite a different post for me. Like most these days, I was home working and went to the kitchen to get a cup of coffee. As I returned to my desk, I peered into the bedroom, straight out the window. I saw a bird perched on a tree in the traffic island. I hardly ever take pictures of birds unless they’re pigeons. I loved the contrast and color of this bird against the building background. I quickly ran to get my camera and captured this starling through the window and the screen before he/she flew off.
There was an article about Starlings in the New York Times yesterday.
Yes, I saw that. Interesting. I love birds and have noticed all sorts that I did not know were common to New York City.
April is probably really good for bird watching, because so many are migrating. March might be even better, but I’m not sure.
This is such a lovely shot, Keith. That little bit of purple at its throat..a perfect capture.
Thanks Lois. That was one of the first things I noticed, that purple chest. I was happy I was able to capture it.
