I was walking back to the subway, going home form Chinatown. It was an incredibly hot afternoon, as we were in the middle of out first heat wave of the summer. As I passed family court, there was this woman sitting outside in a chair concentrating on whatever she was writing in her notebook. She was so engrossed that she did not notice me talking this photograph.
