Someone help this woman. This is the most haunting, despairing portrait I’ve seen in your collection. I just want to DO something for her. Isn’t it difficult to see?
Unfortunately this is a common scene. I was watching her from down the street as I approached. She was about to fall over from being under the influence of drugs. I helped upright her in her chair. My neighborhood sometimes reminds me of my old neighborhood, the East Village, in the 1970s.
