When I first moved to Florida, I was shocked to hear someone talk about ‘fixing a pallet’ for a baby. All I could think of was the pallets in your photo. Not at all what they meant, but I still flinch when I hear someone say that. I mean, for cryin’ out loud, fix the baby a bed, not a pallet!
Looking across the street, I see a pallet crafted into an American flag leaning against my neighbor’s house. It’s better than seeing the political signage he previously displayed. However, two other neighbors still have T-V signs in place. Never mind that, by state law, they were supposed to be removed within 10 days of the November election. Argh. I am so weary of looking at T-V campaign signs.
